Lanre Popoola
Lanre is one of the Senior Associates in the practice and an alumnus of the University of Ife, from where he graduated with honours from its prestigious Faculty of Law. He has acquired considerable experience in Litigation, Corporate and Commercial transactions as well as Company Secretarial practice over a period of almost thirty years. Lanre commenced his legal career as a Legal Officer with the Union Bank of Nigeria from where he joined Lassaco Assurance PLC, a Public Limited Liability Company, quoted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. Lanre rose to become Lassaco's Company Secretary/Legal Adviser. Upon his retirement from Lassaco, Lanre formed became the Managing Partner of Dowel Attorneys, a firm of General Legal Practitioners and Consultants before joining Aidan Partners in 2017.
Lanre has extensive experience of Corporate Governance issues as he has sat on and advised various Boards on Best Corporate practices and has overseen several mergers and acquisitions of companies.
Lanre has appeared before all courts of records in Nigeria in debt recovery and employment matters.

Counsel to a leading commercial bank in several debt recovery matters in excess of N2billion;
Lead counsel to a global telecommunications provider in several debt recovery matters totalling N1.5billion;
Advised a global mobile phone manufacturer on employment and trade union related issues;
Lead Counsel to LASACO Assurance Plc's acquisition of Elmac Insurance Co Ltd;
Lead Counsel to LASACO Assurance Plc in its merger with LASACO Life Assurance Co Ltd;
Lead Counsel for Public Offer and Rights Issue of LASACO to raise N4.2 billion in 2007;
Company Secretary/ Legal Adviser to LASACO Properties Limited;
